About us

Initially established in Market Harborough, but now encompassing Leicestershire and beyond, BabyGigs are designed specifically for babies, young children and their families. The concerts provide an opportunity to hear live music performed by superb players in relaxed surroundings. Children are free to sing, dance and move about as they listen and afterwards they can meet the players and try the instruments. Each concert is approximately 45 - 50 minutes in length.

All our musicians are leading professionals in their field with years of experience in presenting music to this age group. Repertoire ranges from classical to jazz and pop and the players often play games or use props to encourage the children to engage with the music. Our concerts feature a huge range of instruments such as violin, clarinet, saxophone, voice, recorders, viola, trombone, bass trombone, guitar, piano, bass clarinet, flute, cello, oboe, harp, tabla, percussion......and parents and children love the fact they can see and touch the instruments.

Alongside its regular concert series for 0 to 5s, BabyGigs now extends into schools with its KoolGigs programme. This encompasses concerts and workshops, and aims to inspire a lifelong love of musical creativity.
